The change is necessary to reflect changes in operating costs, purchase power costs, and a need to review and adjust the rate tariff structure.
The requested increase in revenue is an overall increase of $621,045.
The actual change to individual customers will vary with electricity usage, class of service and the ultimate rates authorized by the Commission. If the PCSW proposed rates are approved, the average residential and general service customer will see an increase of 1.02% and 7.03% respectively. Large general service customers will receive an average increase of 1.47%. Small power and large power services will receive an average increase of 1.26% and 1.24% respectively. Industrial power and large industrial power customers will receive an average increase of 1.09% and 7.05% respectively.
