Shawano Public Works - Engineer Position

The City of Shawano is seeking to fill our City Engineer position.  Applicants would be responsible for general engineering and surveying services for the City of Shawano Department of Public Works. This Includes providing engineering services and  supervision for construction projects so that projects are completed according to specifications and within budget. Duties include gathering field information, creating a workable design, surveying project sites to obtain and analyze topographical details, drafting design into plan sets, working up project cost estimates, preparing specification documents, calculating dimensions/specifications and quantities of materials and assisting Director of Public Works with
bidding of proposed projects.

The City Engineer reports to the City’s Public Works Director and will work with multiple
departments to achieve the engineering needs of the organization.

Salary range for this position is $57,200 to $65,000 DOQ

Shawano Police Department 

The Shawano Police Department is seeking to fill one part-time vacancy for a Community Service Officer. A Community Service Officer is a civilian non-sworn position with the police department.

We are looking for a person with strong problem-solving skills, who is team oriented and a strong communicator.  We want someone who can make a difference and is proud to serve the Shawano community.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. A United States citizen and at least 18 years of age
  2. A high school graduate or possess a GED
  3. No felony or domestic violence related convictions
  4. Possess a current valid WI driver’s license

Starting salary for entry level is $9.85/hour.  Primary hours will be weekdays, evenings and some weekends.
