Shawano Municipal Utilities (SMU) is requesting quotations for underground installation services.

The bid will be for the per unit cost of installing underground primary and secondary electrical cables, underground service cables, streetlight cables, fiber optic cables, polyethylene conduit, and PVC conduit using directional boring, trenching, and/or vibratory plowing technology.  Contractors must have the ability to bore, trench, and plow up to 4" conduit.  The bid also includes the cost of setting 1-phase transformer pad(s), 1-phase and 3-phase underground primary fiberglass junctions, secondary fiberglass junctions, and other miscellaneous tasks related to the above.  The per unit bid price shall include all material handling, installation, backfill, restoration, and clean up of the job site.
