Adult Classes

Aquacise -

This class is designed to tone and firm muscles, burn fat and provide and awesome aerobic conditioning program. In water, all of these goals can be accomplished in the same workout. Water viscosity provides the resistance to tone, strengthen and define the muscles. The large movements of the arms and legs provide the aerobic workout to burn fat and strengthen the cardiovascular system. Enjoy an invigorating workout in the water’s buoyant, nearly gravity free, exercise friendly environment. No swimming ability necessary to take this class. Adult Beginner -

This class is for those who have not had swimming lessons before or who are not comfortable in the water. Basic swimming and water safety skills are taught in a relaxed, fun way.

Joints in Motion -

This low-impact water exercise program was originally developed by the Arthritis Foundation. The class concentrates on strengthening muscles, relieving stiffness, improving balance and gaining a better range of motion. The exercises provide gentle resistance while supporting your joints. Participants will enjoy a fun, recreational workout conducted in the shallow end of the pool. Swimming skills are not necessary. The class is taught by an Arthritis Foundation Certified Instructor.

Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga - 

Stand Up Paddle Board Classes! This is low impact, it strengthens the core, tones every muscle and gets you on the water. Classes are instructed by Yu-Chin Fang at the Shawano Rec Center. Call the Rec Center at 715-526-6171 for more information.
